The problem
Every author building a complex world eventually hits the same wall. Not a writer’s block. Something worse — a contradiction that already exists somewhere in the manuscript.
A character’s eye color shifts between chapter three and chapter seventeen. You wrote both. Neither felt wrong at the time. A reader finds it before you do.
The magic rule you established in the prologue directly contradicts the climax. You laid both down with full intention. They cannot both be true.
A character you let die quietly in act two appears in a crowd scene forty thousand words later. You have been writing for months since then.
The solution
Nornveil is not a chat interface or a generic AI assistant. It is a structured companion built for the specific demands of serious lore-heavy fiction — protecting the world you have spent years constructing.
Every character, location, faction, magic rule, and continuity event organized in one structured repository. Not notes scattered across twelve files you cannot find when you need them.
Your world is always indexed. Nornveil never interrupts — but when you ask, it reads your scene against everything you have established and surfaces what conflicts before it compounds.
Nornveil never writes your story. It never decides what happens next. It protects what you have already decided — and helps you write more of it, in your voice.
How it works
Add characters, locations, factions, and magic systems as you write. Each entry is structured — not free-form notes you will forget how to search six months from now.
A full-width, distraction-free writing surface. No AI rail visible by default. You control when Nornveil enters the room. It is there when you call it. Quiet the rest of the time.
On demand, Nornveil reads your scene against your established lore. It surfaces what conflicts, what is missing, and what you should consider — without rewriting a single word.
Why this exists
My wife has been writing her fantasy novel for twenty years. The world she has built is intricate — characters with layered histories, a magic system with real constraints, decades of lore revised and deepened over decades of writing.
I watched her lose track of details that mattered to her. Not because she was careless — because no one can hold that much in their head. The world had grown larger than informal notes could manage.
I could not give her more hours in the day. I could give her a better tool. Nornveil is what I built.
Built by a husband. For an author who deserves to finish her book.
